Larry, got any hard surface rod? I missed you at the show. I was there all day Friday, stayed home Sat and spent from 10am to 4pm there Sunday. I think it turned out great for our first show on the new grounds. The bad part was I never got on a tractor all weekend. Charlie

Hey Charlie - I finally got to the show Sunday. Did some plowing with the D 17. Plugged up several times in the corn stalks. Went on down to the other field and did better with less trash. With the oversize tires it raises the snap bell enough that I loose the depth adjustment on the plow. I cut about 2 inches out of the beaming rod so now I can get more depth angle with the plow. Ready to try again.
I am almost afraid to tell why I want the subsoiler points. I have an old 53 plow that I am changing over to a three post subsoiler. I think it will work but have to move the coulters up and move a few beams to get a little wider cut. My fear is trash and plugging up - hope the coulters will solve that problem. May have to take out the middle post if it plugs too much. Anyway better than scraping the worn out plow and my time is free. So what the hey - from scrap to scrap is the worst thing that can happen.
