hopefully the images came up okay....if not, i'll try again. i'm needing that bottom plate of the seat frame that has the little lips/hooks on the back that hold the seat onto the base suspension part. i have no idea what the correct terms are, but basically there is another plate attached to the pan of the seat that busted on mine. w/out it, i have no suspension in the seat other than whatever meat is on my rear. i don't know if it has to be replaced as one whole unit, if i can buy just that plate, if there's differences in the d17 line in the type of seat...but i tried to show what i have so hopefully someone will atleast know what i'm talking about and what i need. thanks |

i may be in need of more than just the pan, so i'll start pulling mine apart to see what's good and what isn't....but i'm pretty sure i know what's needed and that's everything. what's cheaper, a newer cab fwa w/ loader....or restoring a d17??? okay, i'm just kinda kidding about that last part.

no way, the patio furniture stays put!!!
has anyone used one of the universal suspensions seats as a replacement? i found one on ebay for a little over $100. that would sure beat buying a new pan, new cushions, new base assembly if needed. i'd always rather have original to look right, but i really don't care since i'm not doing a restoration....just want something comfortable.

Skip - I put one on my Series IV for about a year before I rebuilt the original seat mechanism. Even have the custom "brackets" I used to mount it. It is just sitting around upstairs at the farm and is in near new shape...PM me if interested...somewhere I have some pics of it on the 17. Mike
