I have a D19 Turbo Diesel and noticed that the engine sn was prior to 121791. According to the manual the corresponding pump is a 4513709 with timing at 16 BTDC. The pump on my D19 is a 4514756 (for eng # after D-03150 and set at 20 BTDC). Is this a problem? Just had the pump rebuilt as well as the injectors when I noticed it. I'm a novice when it comes to diesel engines.

DrAllis is the guy to ask. On the D17D they changed pumps to, if I remember correctly, one that has some automatic timing advance to make it run a bit cleaner.
