Don, it looks like the sample is a little dirty if the TT dump is holding what came out of your bin. LOL We have had some great weather this past week. I dug some taters but haven't done any work on the Wood Brothers. I think if I grease it before going to the field it will do OK for this year. The last week here has corn ears hanging down and stalks are turning. I'm sure we will see combines starting up by the 15th of Sept. Our tractor club crops are sure to be ready by show date(Sept  17,18 & 19).
To all how are getting real busy in the coming month, BE CAREFUL out there.         Charlie

You have not seen the "A" Gleaner combine pick corn without shelling it? lol There is lots of city folk that think it can, At last years show by me they looked at the load on the old T-T and thought the "A" did a grate job. Don

Makes me think of my 45 diesel that dad used to have a New Idea two row picker/sheller on it.   He also had just the picker attachment but I never saw him use that when I was little.   How many other two row units that attached to tractors also shelled the corn?   Did AC ever make a picker/sheller for a tractor?

Chuck, at our show last year the feature was Oliver. There were 2 Oliver pull types at the show a 1 row and a 2 row. Both were shellers. I never saw one before and didn't know they even made such a thing since everybody but New Idea kinda got out of pull types by the time dryers and grain bins showed up.

My dad's was a mounted one.   Years ago we torched it off, thinking it wasn't worth anything and noone planted on 40 inch rows anymore.   Kind of wish I still had it.  I remember sitting in on the seat of that thing thinking I was driving a spaceship!!

I laughed about that eared corn picked by the old "A" all day.
I did frame that one for Dad, He's got a wall of his T-T to look at. He was getting her ready for the one fall show it gets to go to. Dad was asked to use his old truck in a parade and told the guy no it go's to just one show and his show was not it. got to love them old men. LOL
I got the combine out of the barn yesterday to start getting her ready, She fired right up like it had been used last week.

Don - I'm still focused on getting the WD45 running and in shape to go fetch the 190 picker...I actually did get it out and running last trip and will be working on it more this coming labor day weekend.  I'll get the EIII out this fall to do my 6 acres of hilltop beans and maybe the 16 acres of double crops about deer season.   Nice pics!  Mike
