Thanks so much to everyone for all the thoughts and prayers. They seem to be working. The surgery Friday went better than expected. They removed less tissue than they thought they would have to. The bone does have some soft spots but overall its integrity was better than expected also. The core sample they took before from his right foot came back positive for E. coli of all things. While he was under, they took a core sample from his left heel as well just to check if E. coli as well or something else. Doctor says E. coli pretty easy to treat/kill but would take time to get it out of the bone. Overall, they are optimistic that infection is treatable with medications and that bones will recover once infection is gone. So, for now, he gets to keep his feet. A long road ahead before he'll be able to put weight on them again. He says he is feeling much better which I believe because I could actually hear it in his voice. He has sounded almost lifeless for 2 weeks but now I can hear the spark coming back after this weight was lifted. Again, thanks so much from the bottom of our hearts to such a wonderful group of people we've never even met. May GOD bless all of you and keep you safe.-Lionel Lambert

Praise God. It is good news and I will continue to pray for his recovery. Sounds like the doctors have found the cause and treatment, though maybe extended, should continue to make dramatic improvements. God Bless.
