Hi Gordel, I have did it...my 262 is out of Gleaner C also. I am just finishing up the paint work and re assembling after completing the installation/conversion. In my opinion AC should have built a 45 with a six cylinder from day one..It runs so smooth and has big power!! 90plus horses! and sound sweet.
All you need is the following:
-45D adapter plate or use the adapter from the combine and use a 45D plate to drill your holes.
-45D flywheel or the flywheel from cockshutt 40 or 50 will work
-45D heavy spring clutch plate
-45D throttle linkage used to go to the injection pump and convert it to work with the governor
-D19 Governor or Cockshutt governor if you want it to run like a normal tractor
-45D rad or convert the 45Gas rad
45D hood
Some big rubber 16.9 or bigger!!!! I have 30's on mine of a 175 or 190 looks great!
That's about it enjoy.

Yes I will take a few photo's on the re-assemble and post for everyone. I also designed a dry element air cleaner set up for it.

There were two WD45s with 262 gas engines at the GOTO in Albert City last weekend and one 45 with a 301 diesel in it. I didnt get any pictures, wish I had more time, 3 days just isnt enough!!!!!!!!

Skip, I'vw got to agree with the comment that 3 days isn't enough time. I got home and realized that I failed to take hardly any photos of the tractors displayed. I did get some of the combining. raking straw and a few of the garden tractors working. While I thoroughly enjoyed myself, another day dedicated to only taking pictures would have helped. Guess that's why I like working shows though. You can get involved and are having so much fun you just forget to take pictures. God Bless
