Hi folks, I am a newly registered user to this site, but have been reading for a while.  This site is a very good source of information for people like me who don't know much about Allis, but should.  I've been around this stuff for 15 years, but I wear "green underwear", so I never paid much attention to it.  My father in law is a collector of AC and farmed with it all of his life.  However, he is getting on in age and has decided to have an auction of all of his stuff.  I get a lot of information on here as I research things for the sale.  Now for the shameless plug:  here is a link to the sale bill:  http://www.farmauctionguide.com/cgi-bin/steffes.cgi?sec=v&type=c&id=steffes&anum=1280432139

My name is Kyle and if any of you have any questions about things on the sale, feel free to contact me, my ph# is on the bottom of the sale bill.  I live on the same farm as my parents in law and can get info pretty quickly.
Thanks
I'm a JD man, but I do have a WD45 hi-crop and my wife has a WD45 diesel.

That is a screen covering the grille, I do not know the specific purpose.  The fenders on the other B are for steel wheels, it has rubber on it now, but the steel wheels are here for it, I just have not dug them out yet.

Wow -- ya have a lot of stuff. I would love to be there, should be an interesting auction.
Sure wish it were closer, I'd be there in a heartbeat. As for your underwear - green is fine, it's the tractors we care about -- LOL. Glad you are looking at the site - good info on here.

That is a stunning collection!!!!

Sometime before the sale, maybe around Sept. 1, I'd start a new thread entitled "Upcoming Auction: Huge Allis Chalmers Collection", or something like that.

You need to get more exposure for this sale. I'd be announcing it everywhere and anywhere that I could, even on non-AC websites.

That is one big collection!

Arlen hiked most of this stuff to the GOTO in Rollag MN back in 95 or 96 whenever it was. Took him like 25 trips.

I see he has a ad in the Old Allid News too.

About 6 to 8 years ago, I got a first hand look at Arlen's collection right at his place, guided by Arlen himself. Nothin short of amazing. Hope my ship comes in before the sale!!   Darrel
