Starter switch contact problems

   I seem to have a lot of problems with starter switches like on an Allis B and C.  I have severeal fairly new ones and all seem to have problems getting good contact to run the starter.  Are they poorly made these days?   Is anyone else haveing this problem and what can be done to make better contact?  Thanks in advance for your help.  Dale
