My brother called me yesterday with a problem on his WD45 factory PS pump. One of the needle bearings had failed and locked up the pump. Fortunately it didn't do any damage to the pump. After consulting the AGCO online parts book I gave him the number and he called his local AGCO dealer for the part. $32.00 later the repair is on it's way. Even though he grew up on 45's the same as I did he is totally amazed at what is available in repair parts. He still uses 5 WD45's on his dairy operation and has located a couple more to add to the operation. There are a lot of farms around that were built on the back of a WD45 and our farm is one of them. Dad's first new tractor in 1953 was a WD45, the first one sold by Keller Implement in Nokomis, IL. 10 or more WD45's have passed through the farm in the 57 years since then and they are still earning their keep.
