I had a mowing job yesterday that I knew was going to be tough...hadn't mowed it for 2 years, so I decided to use the 170D and 6' LandPride mower. The 170 struggled in the 8' tall swamp grass, but we got the job done.....it was a real challenge running a 6 foot mower since I am spoiled with the 175D and JD MX8 eight footer....

Very nice Eldon.  When are you going to add a 6060, 6070 or 6080?

I'm also surprised you haven't hung a loader on one of those 170/175 tractors.

Looks good, Eldon.  You can probably go places that I can't with my CA and Woods L-306.  LOL.

Howdy Eldon,
Why do they wait so long for cutting, you have to tell them price is the same for 4 foot too. LOL I got a AC 5 foot behind an AC D15 II. Works real nice.

Have had internet problems the last week so am a little slow to respond.  Clause I'm not sure I want a 6000 series.....I am perfectly content with the big stick tractors.  As for a loader, my skid steer does most of that work now, my poor D12 SIII w/ loader just sits as my D14 w/trip bucket handles jobs not suited for the skid loader....Brian with the 175D set out 8' wide it sure hugs the hillsides!  Kurzy I mow what I get...don't care how tall or thick it all pays well!

I hear ya on the 6000 series, that two stick transmission doesn't look so good.  But I bet the FWA and the 200ci engine is nice!  Also like the platform on the 6000 series tractors.  It would be hard for me to give up my pure AC 170 for a half breed Allis/Fiat thing.
