Last week our F2 died while harvesting wheat the crank on the engine broke while the machine was threshing We need to take the grain head off from the machine unfortunately the head is resting the ground we need to raise to get the jacks stands in to unhook the head I am looking for suggesting on raising the head Considering putting another engine in it is the 6080 engine I know the had problems with the cranks just looking for some. opinions

Morley run a hose from your hyd. outlet on aq tractor to the hyd. rams that raise the header and raise the header with your tractor hyd. valve Niel

the fluid is different the hydraulic fluid is the combine is Dextron transmission fluid not 821

That small amount that is going to get into the system, if the tractors isn't contaminated, is not going to hurt a thing. If you are worried about it, drain the cylinders before connecting them back to the combine.

You could still use your tractor, just let the oil bleed out when you get the other engine in. Only lose a little oil, it wont mix unless you work the hyds. Fred

Tractors known for crank problems only because of thrust from clutch.Combines were non issue.

thanks for the help this morning the old engine gave us 30 seconds before it finally went to gleaner heaven enough time to lift the head and move the machine to the barn and take the head off
