Does anyone have or been around a Hesston 4700 3x3 baler? I'm looking at 1 right now to buy but don't know anything about them. I've been around the newer ones and all I've ever ran is round balers. Thanks for any info.       Mike

Never been around one of the 4700 but have sold several of the 4800's.  Biggest problem we have is that they are getting tired.  Would be good to bale a few but I wouldnt buy a straight 4700 expecting it to bale a few thousand bale without some work.  The 4750/4755 are good balers and most are still within rebuilding.

I would check the needles on the 4700 we have had a few 4800's bend all of them at once if they get out of time.  Sorry I couldnt be more help just not a bunch of those 4700 around

Thanks Dale, I plan on just 1000 bale a year to take some of the work off the round baler.
