Dave, an M was a crawler tractor built in the 30's & 40's. I t used the same engine as a U & UC wheel tractor. The seat ew is asking about, in this instance, is for an Orchard M that has the low operators postion. The seat is behind the machine. Unfortunatly, EW, I donot have a seat. We have a regular M crawler that we are in the process of restoring ( a 5+ year process!).

Interesting! I have a McCormick Deering OS6 that has a seat slung low and behind the differential. I was wondering if the seat in question was on an orchard machine.
My only worry about the seat on the OS6 is that it put's one's butt right over the pto!
