I can pick up a 7010 Allis Chalmers with transmission problems. What would be the cost of repair. Did they have two different types of transmissions.

Need more info than this. Power Shift 12-speed, Power Director 16-speed and Power Director 20-speed are the choices. 7010's aren't known for any problems....could just be cables or other linkage issues. How many hrs on the tractor and exactly what is it doing/not doing??? Won't move and no power steering?? that would be a torque limiter which is an easy fix.

my 7010 gets hard to shift if it sets all winter, in the shed, i sprayed some JB-80 down inside the shifter box inside the cab, worked it a bit and then sprayed some lithium grease down there, all works great again! had to have the cables replaced on the 7080 as they must have streched some, all works good again on that tractor. it took 2 agco mechanics 3 hrs to replace those cables, and they knew what they were doing! glad i didn't attempt it, would probably still be doing them!! lol
