Looking forward to the pictures Norm. Years ago I saw a 2505 straight 8 supercharged Buda/Allis-Chalmers engine with a 26 groove drive sheave at Ray Tosch's yard in Capac MI. They said that it had  a WD-45 starter engine but the literature says it was a 153 engine. It was gone and the yard mostly scraped out the last time I was there. It would have been a good engine to have.

HI FOLKS;
I AM A NEW MEMBER TO THIS FORUM.
THIS BRINGS BACK LOTS OF FOND MEMORIES OF MY YOUTH.
I GREW UP IN MY DAD'S SHOP WORKING ON THESE BUDA ENGINES(970 & 1290 MOSTLY).
THESE WERE USED TO POWER IRRIGATION PUMPS IN WEST TEXAS.
WE ALSO HAD AN 1879 INLINE 6 CYL SUPERCHARGED ENGINE AND A 2505 TO TAKE CARE OF.
THE VALVE TRAIN ON THESE ENGINE WERE THE WEAK LINK, DUE TO THE NATURAL GAS FUEL BEING USED. OTHER THAN THAT THEY GAVE GOOD SERVICE.
THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!
