Used with an Allis Model B according to my B's previous owner ... although not attached to the tractor when I got it. I also have a lift attachment that hooks to the back of the tractor that is supposed to go with this. A friend of mine on the forum told me that this is a "left hand plow" - I know nothing about plows, but am passing along the info. He also said that this isn't an AC unit - it has the model (?) number P025881 stamped into the backbone. If anyone's interested PM me - thanks, Bill |

This may not be an Allis Chalmers plow. What I see of the linkage does not look like an Allis Chalmers one. There were after market items - Waired(?) comes to mind - that fit a B tractor. I saw some here on the site quite a while ago. However, they are a mounted plow. Others will have to state how well it worked.
Good luck!

Thanks Bill.
Gary - seems like that's what everyone seems to think :-) Just thought I'd give it one last try before exercising the nuclear option (scrap). - Bill |

PO means Parlin & Orendorf Plow Co. of Canton, IL. IHC bought them out in 1919. But the PO prefix was used on International Harvester plows up until at least the 1950's. IH plows, and other tillage equipment, were built in Canton IL. until the early 1980's.

Might want to check the mounting brackets and post pictures of them. Might be an IH plow for a cub or another tractor.

Sorry for the slow reply, lightening hit a pole a little ways from the house and we have been without power for quite a while - fortunately the computer was on a surge suppressor ... For those who asked, a picture of the mounting bracket the previous owner says was used is below. I think Morton is right, there are some IH casting marks on it so its probably for a Cub or similar. Thanks Doug for the tip on Parlin-Orendorf. If no one's interested I may end up turning it into a piece of yard art. Hate to see these old guys disappear. Bill |
