Sharing results of my first big (to me) project for my B - a sprayer for watering and fertilizing. Got one of the el cheapo TSC universal sprayers, some treated wood fence rails, and some threaded rod and built a little subframe that I strapped the sprayer to - the sprayer had molded-in threads in the bottom for studs, so I used these with corresponding holes in the stretchers (plus the ratcheting tie-down straps) to keep it from moving around. I can't believe how useful this thing is. From the comfort(?) of my tractor seat I can ride around and water anything that needs it, and between the height of the tractor and reach of the sprayer I can even get to the top of the fruit trees. The best part is that it gives me an excuse to take the B out for a daily spin around the property! Yeah, I know the make tow-behind sprayers but that's too easy ... Bill |
