I have 12.4 X 28 rear tires on my 1951 WD. Wide front, hydraulic loader, 3 pt. I have a 5' brush hog and a back scraper too. Bale spears for loader and for 3 pt. Great tractor. I check this site every few days and have turned other Allis guys onto it too. I am impressed with all of the knowledge that is here and thanks. Well I have one of my tires leaking a little bit of chloride out of the valve stem. I am going to bring it to the local tire shop to have it checked out. I just had a friend drop off 2 16.9 X 28 tires for me. They have a little bit of weather checking but not bad at all. Tread is pretty worn but would last me for years. I also have a chance to get 2 14.9 X 28 tires with almost no weatherchecking and also not much tread but would last me for years too. Any advice on which ones you would use? Pros and cons to each size if any? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking the 16.9's would be a little big too. I will go with the 14.9's. If anyone needs 2 16.9's let me know. I live in north MN. They would be very cheap. |
