I have a 1949 Allis Chalmers G. A local friend told us about his father not letting them buy allis chalmers G's, because he heard about them splitting in half. Has anyone ever heard anything about them splitting?

I've seen a couple broke in the middle like that but both had had loaders on them I do believe. One still had the loader on after the repair but had a different owner and was probably treated a little better.
