We have an xt 190 series 3 with 200 hrs on overhaul and when you start pulling it down it starts smoking like a freight train and falls flat on it's face. It sounds like it's flooding out like a gasser when you pull out the choke. We put new injectors in when we overhauled it.When it's idling the fumes out the exhaust will choke a horse. would it be the pump or bad turbo? Thanks, Mike.

How's the air filter? Could be starving for air.

So it's done this for 200 hrs????? sounds like turbo or bad air leak, but the smoke at an idle isn't that.... a boost gauge reading would tell us something.....XT series 3 should have an AirResearch turbo.? |

what is the timing - sounds retarded , bump it up 2 degrees at a time. Also check the intake manifold for a plug missing thus dumping boost.

Thanks guys just got in from drilling beans. when it rains I'll put a gauge on it and see what we have, and then play with the timing. Could they have put the wrong tips on the injectors? Because it didn't do this before we overhauled it. Thanks again to everybody.
