Value of 7000

There will be a lot of variables, mainly, what all is working on the tractor, tires, paint, repair/maintenance records, etc.  If it's just a normal cabbed tractor with A/C kind of working, like most are, normal tires, probably no more than 2000-3500 would be my guess.  That transmission could be kind of costly, mainly in labor costs, to fix, if it's not just a broken cable (only would apply to black belly tractors).  That is just a ball park figure.  I'd say a working 7000 maroon belly in kind of normal field condition for its age would be worth somewhere around the 4500 mark, maybe a little more.  That's just my $.02.  I paid 7,500 for what I thought was a well taken care of 7000 with around 5000 hours on it, new firestone rubber in the rear, good cab glass and seat, ok interior, good paint and supposedly only 1200 hours on an inframe OH (turned out to be BS after I OHed the engine this summer and found all the bearins had 78 and 79 date stamps).  If that gives you any idea of valuing, and I feel I overpaid about $500 without knowing the problems, and $1500 knowing the problems.
