You ask how much the valve guides were that I get from NAPA. They just dropped off a box of tem and they were 2.39 each. I guess ten was all they had in their system.
 
They didn't have Oliver valve guides in their system so I bought a set from Kroves and they get just under six each. (price subject to change without notice)
Got the invoice and the Oliver guides are now 6.50.

could have saved some by buying bronze guide blanks and turning the od down.
