My father in law says he will give me a bolens tractor, I think is probably from the 80's.
It's a real pretty thing... 3 cylinder diesel, power steering, three point hitch, independent rear wheel brakes.... just like a real tractor.

I understand you can't get parts for bolens, and he says it runs hot now....  I would have to say it's in excellent shape otherwise.

twenty years ago I'd have given my left gonad for it, but now, with no parts etc.... I don't know.... If I don't want it he's gonna take it to an auction Friday.

What should I do?

Likely manufacturer of the machine would be Iseki and was rebadged as a Bolens,, parts are out there.

Does it have a 3 cylinder Mitusbishi diesel engine in it ?
I just picked up a Toro Groundsmaster with a Mitzy 2cyl diesel ,leaky water pump.
Can't get the shaft seal..only the whole pump.Local Toro dealer wants $460 for it !!!
Went online, googled, found it's a very common pump, place in Georgia sells them for less than $100 !!! I like supporting the local businesses but it's actually cheaper to drive down south for the pump !, and I'm in southern Ontario !!

Don't they have mail in Ontario?   ;-)

I screwed around too long.... it's on the sale bill now.

I told my wife maybe I'd buy it at the sale... it's much more attractive now that it's gone ;-)

Thanks to all who replied.
