My wife wanted a bigger mower....so I got one. A 1947 Model C with a 59" Woods belly mower. I decided that she won't drive it. Talk about a nice cutting job, and quicker also. The front end has the case of the wobbles. Will a CA narrow front bolt up to this C. I have a CA front end that is in great shape, let me know.

The CA frount will bolt to the C <but the cowl won't have holes for the cultivator mount Boss's. You Can cut them off and it will work. You won't be able to put a front tool bar on because the C tool bar mounts to the Bac of the Bolster and its about two inchec further forward. My Wife likes driving the C with a Woods L306 she dosen't get clippings blown back on her. Put a Step on and She'll be much happier

What about the internals. I would like to keep things stock, as much as I can afford. Is the internal gears, bearings, and other stuff the same. This way I could scavage from both to make one good one. I really need a step on this unit, because I don't think I have mounted or un-mounted the same way yet. The cool thing is that my wife really loves it, but my kid and I like it more!

If you have a CA parts tractor, take the engine out of the C and bolt it up to the CA. Transmissions are different and you probably won't find parts that will interchange, but the CA has 4 forward speeds and a hand clutch which basically gives you live PTO and hydraulics.
