I know that this has been talked about before, but I will be needing to do a complete rebuild from front to back on my 185 sometime in the future.  It needs third gear changed, and probably some bearings in the rear end.  Since I will have it apart, is it feasable to install a 540/1000 rpm unit in it?  Thanks for the help.

MY 185 HAD A REVERSABLE 540/1000 P.T.O. I THINK YOU JUST TOOK THE BOLTS OUT OF THE P.T.O., PULLED IT OUT, TURNED IT END FOR END AND BOLTED IT BACK IN AND YOU WERE READY TO GO.
