Is there a place for a temperature gauge? Is the governor supposed to be set up similar to the other models? IE 1/16 inch pressure on idle screw when shut down. My, oops Liz's G looks like it might have too much water and it starts to blow out the overflow after about 5 minutes of running. The governor doesn't.

if you are filling the radiator to the top, it will blow off as thewater expads as itr heats. it is normal for the level to be below full after it has been run. The G doesn't have a gauge or a water pump, so it will tend to run on the hot side. It uses hydro-syphen to cool it. Bob

Ok thanks guys. Now if I can get the little flathead to govern like an Allis, I'd be tickled pink.

The rad was full to the top when I bought the tractor. I thought that might be all that was wrong but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to back flush the thing for a while.

Charlie, just be sure there's enough water to cover the top neck. the water must be able to make the loop or she's soon to be dead. Check your e-mail in a moment, some reading material (manuals) on the way on the G
