i have a 1956 wd45 diesel that i rescued from a junk yard where it sat with the head off since the late 1970s it is very bad but i am going to bring it back to life. i need some parts like head, oil pan, front cover and all front gears, exhaust and intake, plus a few other parts i'll post a few pics in the next couple of days. if you have some parts and want to part with them that would be most helpfull. thanks ryan

My friend, what you need is a parts tractor. Better yet, find another WD-45 and use that one for parts. I see no steeering, not much tin, no radiator, gas tank, haven't spotted the tranny shifter(if the tranny's been left open as long as the block, look out). I certainly admire your dedication to the brand. Keep us posted as to how it's going.

My friend, i've heard that "if it casts a shadow, it can be restored". I have seen many before and after pics here that were simply amazing. I certainly admire the devotion that people on here have. I have the will, just not the way right now. Unfortunately, I have to work long hours, and am on the road a lot. Maybe one day I can slow down enough to undertake something like this.
I certainly did not mean to imply any disrespect, I was mostly joking, and maybe a little jealous. Please keep us posted with pictures of progress.

Also, if no-one has said so by now, Welcome to the forum. You will find an answer to any question you could think to ask on here . Great people with a lot of knowledge.
