I just got a WD and it doesn't have a snap coupler and i was attempting to put the hitch on it and it is just a pain to do and i saw a video of the factory people putting a hitch onto a WD-45 with snap coupler and was wondering if you could convert a WD into a snap coupler and how. Farmers have been doing it since the 45 came out in 1953. You will need way more than what is shown in the picture though. You need the hook,the release lever with mounting and chain, a spring for the hook. By the prices on that link, you'd be better off looking for a parts tractor.

just make sure you get all linkages for the hyd. pump we have it all

I also converted my WD last summer when I got a mounted plow for it. as mentioned above there's more to it than that piece you have. a word of warning especially if you plan to plow: YOU MUST GET THE LATCHES FOR THE LIFT ARMS!!! there are a few on here who can tell you horror stories of the plow hitting a rock or something and coming unhitched from the bell underneath but not the lift arms and the driver becoming an allis sandwich when the plow flips up and over. this is good advice for any implement but particularly plows. ONLY use the snap coupler and latches together. it is a great system that works when used properly. best to look in salvage yards or ebay for parts $76 is way too much for that bell. good luck!

I don't have any of the parts yet and hopefully will be able to find them all in a bundle together for a affordable price. I just posted the link for the picture to find out if a wd-45 bell would be able to be put onto a wd

all snap coupler parts are the same for wd/wd45, there are several styles of lift arm latches also but any of them will work

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT do business with Wengers. They are about 20-30 miles from my place and are scrooges when it comes to parts in my opinion. They are always over-priced and are not flexible at all. I don't know how they stay in business. You can get a lot better quality parts from a lot better quality people here on this site. I'm sure somebody will hook you up. If anyone has a problem with my opinion, feel free to PM me and I'll back it up.

Like Harvey asked, where in PA are you located Jim? Seeing Wengers site leads me to believe you are in Lancaster/Lebanon/Berks area? If you are, and need something local, I might be able to connect you up with some local parts guys that can get you everything you need.
