When my dad was a kid, he bought a brand new Deutz 4506 tractor. When he got out of farming back in the mid 80's, he turned it into the local AC/Deutz dealer where it got sold. In the last month, he found his old tractor and would like to purchase it back. It used to have a loader on it, but doesn't anymore. It is supposed to be in good shape, but the power steering gearbox is leaking and my dad already checked and the rebuild kit is $150 plus labor. So, what is it worth? I have no idea what Deutz tractors are worth, but I sure would like to see my 80 year old dad drive around the only tractor he ever bought new again. When I was a kid and too young to help out on baling, he used to have a garden tractor seat mounted on the fender and I would ride around on there and there's a few pictures of me on that tractor. We might go this weekend and take a look at it and if so, I'll have to take some pictures.

I have a D4006 and would love to have another one. I see one advertised every now and then. WOW! Most I have seen have been in the $6000 range for a tractor that I would put in the $3000 range based on condition.
If your dad's tractor is in good condition I wouldn't be surprised to find a $6000 price tag on it.
