    Posted: 25 Mar 2010 at 12:11pm
I just found a package of 8 JC Penney brand spark plugs. They are in the original packaging, with each individual plug in it's own package inside the larger package. The plug # is 462 and there was a piece of masking tape that had [1971 AMC 360] written on it. I doubt that I'd install these in anything, because they are a neat collectible, but is anyone aware of a cross reference chart for these , or do you know who made these plugs for Penneys? They are made in USA. Would anyone be interested in these as a collectible? Kip

Just guessing but could that be an Autolite number?? You might go to Advance, Auto Zone or NAPA and ask them. They may have a cross reference.

Sounds like a complete set of plugs for a 1971 AMC that had a 360 cuin engine in it.
You could cross check what that engine needed....and go from there...

8JC or some combination thereof reminds me of a small engine Champion number.  I do know Penny’s sold lawnmowers; I still have the mower my parents bought new in 1971.  I believe it was a re-badged Toro.  Mike
