I was flippin' through some of my AC books this evening after dinner, and this thought came to my mind. Lookin' at the WC, then looking at a WF, looks like the same Tractor except the WF obviously is shorter. My question is, does the WF share quite a few parts with the WC? And how bout' the WC grille shell and hood? Are they the same or do these two models differ from one another in the sheetmetal department? Just curious. Eventually, I would like to add a styled WF to the corral....

Steve, the front sheetmetal, gas tank, grille, hood, are all the same on the styled ones anyway, the fenders are different though, they are the same as a WD fender except for the reinforcement behind them and where the brake cover is. Engine and trans is the same as WC, and later WF's, WD. HTH

Steve, the steering is not the same as a wc and the clutch pedal and the platform for your feet is also not the same. the rear end casting is not the same as well.

The front and rear axles, steering box, and various parts in the area of the operator's station are different than a WC, most everything else are the same as or modified WC parts.

Steve, If your thinking along the lines of taking a styled WC and turning it into a WF I know of a pile of parts that might do the trick for ya. PM me for details.

A WF is just a wheatland WC. I got mine in Canada, up there they called it a WC. Cute little tractor, doesnt take up much room. HTH

Lots of WF's in my part of the world: and they were called WF's as we also have a lot of WC's. Local tractor wreckers has 5 WF parts tractors and my buddy near here has 3 more parts tractors. I have a very good, two owner, original that I would consider selling to you, Steve. Shipping might be a killer, though. (Might be cheaper to fly up here and drive it back)LOL

Norm Swinford makes it sound like they just rotated the final drives forward and designed a special ft axle to make a WF out of a WC. |

Sure looks like that Swinford description when I found one, though the rear axle may also be shorter than for a WC.
