I have been having a hard time trying to find a boot for my governor rod for the A. It is a rubber boot that resembles a brake master cylinder boot. While in Arizona, I went to a military vehicle show and swap meet. I found a new old stock boot for a willys jeep that works perfect. If anyone else has this search, I have found another one that resembles the one I bought. This one is on e-bay item no. 310198831014. i hope this helps some others in their search. It will also work on the late model 2540's. Dave.

Dave the boot on e-bay dose not have a flat round end where it gose over the sleeve coming out of the housing. I was thinking you found the old leather boot.

Fred: The A's used the rubber boot and the 20-35's used the leather boot as far as I know. I still have the remnants of the rubber boot that came on my A.
