After nearly a year since i sold my last Allis, an HD-5 , I found one last week that i couldn't pass up... A D-17 series III diesel , unbelievably straight tin with factory PS, wide front and three point coversation. I haven't decided if i will turn it over or use it to farm with. Had been looking for something to put on the disc mower during hay season. I had my eye on a 670 Moline but i'll see how handy this one is. I 've never owned a D series before. I will try to post pictures next week as i'm going out of town on Thur. and have been trying to get things in order before i go,

The power director is awesome for hay work! How much hydraulics do you have?

D series are great fun - I can see using my D14 for any kind of haying work, and it'd be fun to try plowing a field with it. Enjoy your D17 - sounds like a great find!
