I have a 74 200.  I've had it several years and every sense I have owned it it has a pretty severe lope at idle.  Once the rpm reaches 1200 to 1500 the lope goes away, and also it will not lope if it under load (ie pulling equipment),  Also it is very noticeable in road gear at low rpm < 1500 rpm.  Could this be a problem with the injector pump or the injectors themselves.  I have been told that this is common with the Allis tractor.

Sounds like the governor ring in the injection pump to me.  Not to bad of a job to get rebuild.  Andy

My 75 model 200 will lope a bit just after a cold start but as soon as it warms up it goes away. I kinda like the sound!!

Mine also does it worse when cold, and then as it warms lessons the lope to some degree.  I just tell people I have an oversize cam in it.
