I've never had a sickle mower but a guy has one that he says is for a G. He claims it also fits a B or C with different brackets. Are the mowers the same except for the brackets or not? All I could see was a sickle sticking out of a 3 foot snow bank so I won't get a good look at it til it melts a little, I would guess it to be 5 feet long. Thanks for any input.

Lonnie,
I don't know about using the sickle mower on a G, but I have two of them one for my C and one for my B, they require a different bracket for each.

Shouldnt need anything different to go between a B and C, unless its a later model, but as to the B/G question, I don't think they will. I think the G mower has smaller components and the brackets are more permanent, but don't quote me on that. Have any pictures? It would be easier to tell.

I don't have any pictures, too much snow. He has a belly mower and a single bottom plow for a C also. I told him I would take everything when the snow melts enough to get to them. It just didn't sound right that the sickles were the same for the C and G.

C & G mowers are not the same. alot of components are the same but not the whole mower . the G mower is run off the v pully on the left side of tractor while the C runs off a v pulley on the pto out the rear. mounts are also different.

Is the mower for the B&C 5' or 6'? I've run a 7' with a C, no problem.

He said the belly mower is a 6 foot, but that was completely buried in the snow, I never actually saw it. He says he used the belly mower until 2 years ago when he got a mower for his big tractor.

The G mower will have a foot operated lever to engage or disengage the belt , that should be the most obvious difference besides the brackets and belt cifiguration. There should be some B mower pictures on here to help you Identify what it is. Cal in Ct.
