    Posted: 10 Feb 2010 at 11:53am
I hope y'all can help us.  A small group of small farmers here in remote southern Utah purchased an AC 60 with a corn header.  We know essentially nothing about how this machine runs.  SO our questions are as follows:  Where (if at all) can we find copies of the user manuals, particaluarly the corn header.  We have another AC 66 which we have already used to harvest oats successfully.  Also, does the combine actually shell the corn?  Any additional comments or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Check out www.yazallcrop.com .  Tom has a wealth of knowledge on the All-Crops, as well as a good parts inventory I think.

You've got something special there Eric! I'm sure someone on this site can help you with a manual but yes the combine will do an excellent job of shelling corn.  They are especially good for popcorn I understand.
When I saw your name, I had to check it out because I don't know of any all crop corn heads in Boulder County, Co.  I'll have to check out Boulder, Ut. Haven't been there yet.  Have been to Boulder, Ill, Wy, and California and Boulder City, Nv.

Your corn machine should have more cups in the elevator and a different screen...when you find a manual, it will give you the corn settings..and number of bars..Norm Steinman or Larry Swenson will probably have one...Mark

Didn't realize that you could get a 60 with a corn header, only though a 66 or 72 had it as an option, learn something every day. Some one told me that these combines will not handle modern 200 bushel corn.

Did you try an AGCO Allis dealer? I've gotten manuals from my local dealer.

Eric,

This is Tom from Yaz-AllCrop.  If you sent a message I didnt get it.  AC did sell some reinforcements for the thresh area as corn was hard on it. There was heavy threshing bars, a secondary concave liner, and a reinforcing bar to help keep the concave
bar bolts from pulling thru the liner. There was also spacers to mount between the cylinder bars to keep corn from jamming up in the cylinder spool.  Unfortunately I dont have of these parts at this time.  All these features were for a 90. I do not know if they were offered for a 60. But that doesnt mean a 60 couldnt use them.

If you need addtional elevator cups I hope to have them this spring.
