I have 1963 D-17 ser.3 and need to replace O-rings on power director shaft that the shift lever attaches to.Can I do this sliding the shaft one way to replace one O-ring and then slide it the other way to replace the other O-ring or do I have to remove the side plate on right side of tractor? any help would be really appreciated. There are woodruff keys that fit in this shaft...I think you will have to removed the side cover...chances are they will fall out if you move the shaft. Otherwise that should work. Good Luck |
