My dads WD that my grandpa rebuilt years ago has a 226 (tall) head on a 201 block. Would you have to put the 226 cupped pistons in to do this or would it use the flat tops. Dad always calls it a WD-45 maybe grandpa put in a WD-45 engine kit and crank. but I don't think he would have if it took any machining or anything like that. Does installing a WD-45 crank require any thing and would you have to use WD-45 sleeves and pistons with the WD-45 crank or can you use WD pistons and sleeves or is their no difference. I am asking all this because I want to put WD-45 parts in my unstyled WC that I plan to pull. I am sure this has been asked before but I can't remember and wanted to know for sure. Thanks in advance for any help,
Denis

wd45 crank requires no machining the wd45 crank with wc pistons us a good low buck upgrade but if you want to be a serious contender you will need to do alot more to horse up the engine . |

I don't want to go to much because local pulls say STOCK with ALL STOCK parts and I don't want to draw attention.
