I am looking for a governor housing from a 226 gas AC 170 , the one off my 1959 model 226 wont work, the dowl pin does not line up, from the block to the housing. Unless someone knows a way that i can still use the one I have now? I can get the year of the engine fromthe serial to be more specific. thnaks

I believe the 170  gas with 226  were produced from 1968 to 73 ?

Can you post a picture of what you need? As far as I know the Housing is the same mounting patern from the wc through the 175 including the E combine. there were different variations of the housing with the oil fill outlet but I thought the way they mounted was the same?
