Was wondering who else got the o sh-t letter from agco? I got one today addressed to me talking about the phasing out of the orange. On top of the letter was Robert Crain's phone number. For giggles I tried it and it actually went to his voicemail, and the message was that he will be out till next week. I will try back monday just to vent. I plan on telling him what he can do with the 'plan to transition over to massey'.

I got the letter in the mail today. Sent it out to all the loyal Agco buyers. It basicly says thanks for getting us going and kiss your a$$ good bye. I called them yesterday and talked to a secretary. Told them I wouldnt drive a Massey if it was free and brought to me. IG

I got the same e-mail. I just figured it was a reply to one of my e-mails I had sent to them expressing my disgust with their decisions. Kinda disappointed they couldn't spend 44 cents to send me a real letter.

I'm not in a posititon to buy anything new from AGCO 'cept parts so my vote don't don't carry much weight but the "smartest people in the room" are going to learn a life lesson. It's shameful.

Is it just my eyes or does it seem like even the orange stripe on the Gleaner (on Agco's site) is getting redder?

Remember when Agco first started out- their logo was A-C orange? Now it's red as can be.

IG hows your new JD coming? Still on the build list? I'm pretty close to dealing the RT100A for a New Holland TV6070. Never thought I'd get a New Holland but the bi-directional is nice and I think will suit me well. Working out the kinks now and the wife has to come around a tad. It's made in the USA too in North Dakota I think.

It is suppose to be here in Feb,sometime. I know that New Holland wont be the tractor that 100 A is with the CVT,but get out while the gettting is good. Or in my case "you can kiss my a__ if you think I am buying anything agco. I think your like me...LOL

Yeah, I think we're a lot alike. The dealer I'm working with is an MF dealer too. I'm betting my trade in keeps someone out of a new MF.
My 100A is the powershift model. I know the bidirectional New Holland won't pull like a CVT but for what I do it'll be fine. |

I think you'll like the bi-directional. My dad worked for an entire week from 7am to 10pm with the filming crew who did the literature photos and promo videos for the bi-directional back in the early 1990's. He had his picture in the literature book driving the tractor, and was in the "twin-Max" grader video as well as the bi-directional video. I got to lot drive a bi-directional some, and got to run a newer TV model later on. The hydrostatic transmission is very nice. A local landfill bought one in the late 90's with dual tires on it front and back. It really looks like a beast and goes anywhere they want to take it.

Was told by a good source that Robert Crain is the blame for this, not Richenhagen. His family owned Ford NH dealerships and now CIH and has always had hatred for Allis Chalmers/ AGCO. He was vice pres. of CNH. Was told that he stood up at the meeting and said that Orange is history and thats wear this crap started. Google his history and Crain tractor, that will tell the tell. It's time the stockholders put a boot up this mans @$$. Edited by Kevin(Alabama) - 11 Dec 2009 at 12:39am |

I have now officially written off AGCO. Bought my last AGCO tractor 6 years ago and there won't be a Massey in my barn in the future! I hope AGCO goes down in flames for this move. I bought a Kubota and at least it's orange and it is one h_ll of a tractor. |

Thanks John. I have a little convincing to do with my wife but I think it'll be ok. I've always liked the bi-directional tractor when Versatile came out with them. I test drove it yesterday and got to look at one first hand for the first time. It's a pretty impressive machine. It's very big for a 105 hp tractor, now days, but pretty nimble too.
