i want to use the 15 to split logs ,the 3point splitter has a dual acting ram ,but my 15 only has 1 hyd. outlet . i need two ,what can i do short of spending to much just to get it to work.thanks

use a different tractor. Your 15 has a slow pump that only delivers 1.5 gpm (at a much higher pressure than average). It would SLOWLY move the cylinder and not return it. Unfortunately AC was a little slow bringing live hydraulics to their tractors in the 60s.

I don't know how much the D 15II pumps but like said it would not take a bunch to do that teeny weeny hyd cylinder in there compared to a big butt ram on a splitter.
Don't give up though, start searching for a pto driven pump and tank. you can split in style then.

Best bet is a front mounted pump or PTO pump. You may also want to look at the double acting 12 volt hydraulic pumps. Put one on my D14 to run the 2-way cylinder on the snow blower chute and am pleased. Was less $$ than a pump, tank, valves, fittings and hoses to add a mechanical pump. Do a search on ebay for 12 volt hydraulic pump.

hello norm . how do you hook it up .do you unhook two hoses and then put your splitter hoses on .dont you have to hold down on the loader levers to get the ram to work

John I had a CA with a front pump and loader. Someone had put quick disconnects on one of the valves so that they could unhook the loader lines and connect in the splitter lines. They drilled a hole in the lever and made a linkage that bolted to it and ran back to the splitter and hooked to a lever on the splitter. The splitter also had a snap coupler hookup so that they could lift it up to move it. I no longer have the CA, but have the splitter, it is well made.
