I picked up an Allis 7030 at an auction recently, 4700 hours. Runs well, but it has a hydraulic leak underneath the cab. I think this is the place the screen, etc is changed. The guy who used to own it had replaced a gasket down there before a few hundred hours ago, I talked to him about it. So I was wondering is it often hard to stop this area from leaking? Some folks have told me that it is. I was thinking I would drop that cover, put a new screen and gasket and fill it with new fluid this spring before starting to use it. It is a Power Director transmission. TIA for your input.

My brother has a 8030, with a leak. took it in for repair. Problem was not solved. Had to send it back to the shop. If I remember right it had to be split to repair it. After it was repair the second time, no futher problem. He does not have a dealer to do his repair work. Al

I split my 7060 and used gasket maker silicone on everything but the gasket between the power director and range transmission. It doesnt leak, but I never had a leak before either.
