Check out Tom from MN's site... link . He has some black and white photos of his family's RC... one being delivered, and it doesn't appear to have a muffler coming thru the hood.

I just noticed that Tom even mentions the underhood muffler in one of his photo captions. I thought maybe it just had the angled pipe out the side like the WC's.

mine has muffler coming out of the hood, been added on in the past, going to leave it like that, no battery box or starter but will get both later on.

Looks like its not even a muffler but just a short flattened pipe. In the manual pictures it just barely clears the hood. HTH Tom

Looks great Mark!
So does the RC have the same gas tank and hood as the B & C, or same as the WC?

Congrat's Mark! Nice Tractor. Looks like its upgraded with a Distributor Ignition also. All RC's that I know of were Mag fired. Sheetmetal looks great to. Good luck and have fun with her. Some RC's had the underhood muffler, some of the later ones from what I've read had through the hood mufflers. Being thats a 39' I would think that would've had the underhood muffler on it....

If not too nosey about how much did your RC cost? I looked at one in similar condition today that has been in a shed since late 50s, with a sickle bar mower, crank start model with noting but a mag.
