i have been looking for a brace that bolts on a wd manifold that the muffler clamps to. i bib on one on ebay but lost, just wondering if anyone hade one for sale here. never seen one except in operators manual must be a early manifold, most ive seen had the two bolts in the center.

The correct muffler has the side extended and is it's own brace. no acessory brace needed.

I believe the muffler chalmers bob is referring to is used on the WD45 and early D17`s with the round style muffler.  The early WD`s like my 48 doesn`t have provision for the two threaded holes,but  rather uses a clinch bolt to fasten the muffler where it entrances the manifold.  By itself it doesn`t keep the muffler secure without the brace that bolts to the manifold on the top two bolts that hold the cover plate  to the manifold.  I believe I saw the brace/ reinforcement piece in the Agco heritage catalog not long ago that you may be looking for.  HTH
