When I bought my 17 the guy threw in 2 sets of plows. He said they were used with a WD45 and had never used them. I tried one set yesterday and all it wants to do is pull to the left and doesn't want to dig in. Adjusted everything there is. Does it matter on the tractor pulling them? Might try the other set today and see what happens.

2 thoughts: Do you have the arm turnbuckles extended out too long, they have to be, if I can figure out how to word this, turned to the bottom, so the hang freely, then folded up at the bolt they pivot on. Other thing is, when they are adjusted properly, they will hang straight down from the lift latches, very close to vertical. If your plow does not have the correct tongue length, the turnbuckles will be pointing toward the back at the bottom(tongue too long) or pointing toward the front(tongue too short)

I'll take a shot at this. First set the left rear tire block 6" high and the front end on two blocks that are 6" high, (tractor and plow on level ground) Now set the three points just touching ground, then turn the left lift link of plow out so the plow points are all that are touching ground( you might need to turn the right side in a turn or two) the plow will be winged to the left about 10%.

I would have to ask, are your wheels set in to the proper width?

tried the other set and with minimal adjusting they worked good. need to spray the turnbuckles down to free them up to fine tune. tried adjusting the first set again and still walk to the left big time. so it's not the tire spacing bothare same size, only differance is the first set is a 3 bottom frame with only 2 bottoms and looks like some sort of reset system.

3 bottom set missing back bottom? Could be it needs a landslide to keep it straight. HTH Tracy Martin

If it was a 3 bottom but has the back bottom taken off, I wonder if any body has reset the hitch to get it to center of draft?

Make sure you have good plow shares, then when starting a new land, shorten the top crank about 5 turns to help dig in, then set where it was, this is assuming plow is winged correctly.
