I am new to the forum but not to the Allis Chalmers products. Trying to find a starter for my F-100 Allis Chalmers lift truck / forklift. I think it was built around 1966. Not sure. Perhaps somebody can point me to a vendor or junkyard that might have one. My other option is to have mine rebuilt. The serial number for the forklift is 31465000. It would also help me to figure out what part number corresponds to this particular starter. The label on it is not very readable.
This is what I know about this nice forklift:

Motor: G-230 (230 cu in)
Dry clutch
Starter is 12v
Starter pinion gear has 10 teeth

We offer rebuilding services if interested... Done quite a few Forklift Starters over the years. The way we work it here is you send us your Starter, I'll tear it down, assess it, send ya a quote, and we go from there...

Thank you for the reply. Rebuilding is an option but I think if I go that route a local option would make more financial sense once shipping back and forth is factored in. I can get it rebuilt locally from $100-$120.
