Series III D17. One of the final drive housings (cast part) needs to be replace, once I start working on it. There's a guy that has a crapload of WD and WD45 parts that he's trying to get cleared out because he's moving. (in Elk River, Mn)
Is the '45 housing the same? I can swap the gears if they're different.

Not the same. What part are you wanting to change?? The tube?? or the bull gear housing ??  All the gears inside are different tahn a WD45.

Both the bull gear housing and the tube. Both are broken at the flanges. I had welded it up when it happened many moons ago, but I'd like to replace them with non molested parts.

Series 3 and 4 should be the same parts.

could you replace BOTH with WD45 swing units ?? ......price if right, if they will fit..

Series 3 has band/disc brakes. WD-45 has drum brakes. The pinion gear/brake drum shaft iS completely different.
