   I've been getting ditch dirt free from the town. The only way iI have of moving it arouund is my D-15 with allis trip loader. I seem to have sheared off one of the bolts attaching the loader bracket to the axel casting. What is the best way to try to remove it?? Should I drill it out? Try to weld a bold on it and try to turn it out?? Im at a loss here. I know Im guilty of Allis abuse but maby someone will take pitty and give me some advice. Thanks brian S

	If you can punch it dead center and use a left hand drill bit it may come out easy , next would be welding a nut to it , It woukld probably be a waste to try an attempt with an ez out cuz they aren't!
	I started out years ago with nothing.... after this divorce , I'll be getting most of it back.........

	Thanks Gary, Im gonna start by removing the fender so I can get at it. It sheared off flush so I cant get on it with anything. Ill let you all know how I make out with it. Brian S

	Brian, I'm no expert, but have struggled with this, usually with a manifold stud. One way or another, I have always found somethig that works. A left hand drill bit, which creates heat along with torque in the direction the bolt turns out sometimes works. I have not had good luck with "easy outs", the stud removers that you tap in and turn after drilling the bolt stud. If there is a significant part of the bolt shaft extending outside of the face of the casting, you might weld a nut on it and back it out. Try to turn it while the stud is still hot. A last resort for me has been to drill the stud with the largest bit that just hits the threads in the casting, then use a triangular file to cut through the threads of the bolt stud at one point. This can release the bond and let you back the remains out of the hole. Hope one of these works. Bob@allisdowneast.

	Weld a nut to it even if it's down a ways, let it cool a bit. The nut might twist off, if so just weld it again. The heating from welding and then cooling seems to loosen the broken bolt. Dusty

	hold a size or two smaller washer on the bolt hole before welding a larger nut to it this way you keep a gap between the casting and dotn weld it tight by accident and if it twists off like said earlier weld another one on like said it will heat up again and maybe free things up dairyfarmer

	I've had pretty good luck with broken manifold bolts using 'Freeze off' to chill the stud after the heat of welding a nut onto the stud. Good Luck, Allan

	I use dairyfarmer's advice. If you need more room after welding first washer on, put the next size or two larger on top of that. Now weld a nut onto the washer. Let all cool down to room temp, it should turn right out. good luck!

	In this particular case would it not be more practical to remove the final drive and turn the stud out with vise grips than spend a bunch of time drilling and cursing.

	I think you can get freeze-off at a Autozone store. You can also get a product called Freeze and Release at some other auto parts stores. Lee

	Up-date... Well apparently the previous owner had the same problem. Who ever it was couldnt get the original bolt out and they drilled and tapped it OFF CENTER from the original hole. 1/2 in. instead of origianal. I drilled it out and tapped it to 5/8in. and I think its gonna be fine. Cleaned the mud and manure off the otherside and discovered another broken bolt on that side also. Will start on that one tomorrow. Thanks for everyones help and advice couldnt have done it without you since I am NOT a mechanic. Brian S

	There is a welding electrode kit that is sold by Lawson Products for this. Can get you the part number tomarrow. Simple to use weld down through the center of the next size nut then let cool. the nut twist out the stud.
