today I used my 200 the first time in about a month, noticed while idling that the pump was leaking fuel from around the throttle shaft, it's a rossa master pump what gives? I use biofuel, and was wondering if it's eating up the seals? I have noticed that my fuel tank hose is very stiff and not that old, I have had a fuel hose on my combine just flat out deteriorate, and now this, is the biofuel causeing the problem? I believe in useing fule that I grow, will the replacement seals resist failure? I want to use biofuel but don't want the failures just wondering Bob

How much concentration is the BD? The engine will run fine on 100% BD, but the fuel system will have more problems. When I went to Duramax school, they only recommend 5% for the regular and up to 20% BD on the renewable fuels engine. Going above the recommended levels can cause corrosion due to higher water content and deteriate the rubber fuel system parts. I can't remember now if it softens or hardens the rubber parts.

When I took my 200 to the diesel mechanic, he said that it is more of an age thing than anything. I was worried I was using fuel without enough lubricity, but he didn't think that was the case. Rossa master pump too. Hope that helps some.
