I had a customer bring in a smashed up torque limiter from an 8070 tractor. He assures me it is a powershift, but I am not so sure. The flywheel that he brought in with it is mostly flat with a recessed area about 5mm deep from the main cover mounting face. The cover itself has a single belville spring and uses spacers between the flywheel and the cover. He didn't bring in the piece that fits the splined shaft so I can't measure that part of it.
I may be wrong but it sounds like a powerdirector type torque limiter. Is this possible ? Does anyone have any knowledge of the types of torque limiters and flywheel arrangements used on the 8070 series. ?
Thanks, Eugene.

They use the same style flywheel...the PST flywheel has a pilot bushing in it. The depth is .174" to .184"...I always grind flywheel to .170".

Dr Allis are they different to the 7000 series flywheels - thats all I have ever seen.
I have an old 7060 powershift flywheel in my shop it is much thicker and has a couple of steps in it. It also uses a different type cover plate with 12 springs.
I noticed that the hole PCD is different on this flywheel and the cover plate using the 12 spring setup doesn't fit the holes PCD.
